Bowen “Bo” W. Waters, P.E.

 

Mr. Waters has 28 years of petroleum engineering experience in the oil and gas industry and, other than a short stint in West Texas, he has spent his entire career in operations and property management in Texas RRC Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4. From 1982 to 1990.

Mr. Waters managed the drilling and production operations for Tana Oil and Gas Corp as Vice President of Engineering.
He drilled and completed nearly 200 wells in South Texas, most of which were abnormally pressured tight gas wells.
He was owner and president of Waters Engineering & Operating, Inc., an engineering and property management firm, from 1990 to1999. While at Waters, he provided professional engineering and property management services for many clients in South Texas.

In 1999, Mr. Waters accepted a position with BNP Petroleum Corp. in Corpus Christi, Texas to oversee and manage their operations in the “transition zone” along the Lower Texas Gulf Coast. This required becoming familiar with many aspects of permitting and operating in extremely environmentally sensitive areas such as the Laguna Madre and the Padre Island National Seashore.

In March, 2004, Mr. Waters left his position as president of BNP to establish his second engineering and property management firm, Firstrike Energy Corp..
In May of 2004, he and Mr. Greg Garbe formed Lighthouse Exploration Inc.

Mr. Waters is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas. He is a member of API and SPE.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas in Austin in 1977.
He is married and has three daughters.
